Later that week, I resolved myself to try the other two beers. I didn’t have high hopes based on my experience with the IPA and my fears proved to be well founded.

The pilsner was quite similar in flavour to the IPA (perhaps owing to the “Hop Aromatics” addition), but it poured a little lighter. It essentially tasted like a slightly more bitter pilsner, but with that same metallic astringency. Again the aromas were promising, but ultimately misleading. I drank less of this glass than I did of the IPA.
